What's to Come: July 2026

As the summer has officially begun, we enter into July with more releases than ever to discuss and explore! I'm going to hop straight into it!

Love After Rain Eau de Parfum - D'Orsay

This niche perfume house, originating in France and nearly bi-centennial years old keeps coming out with the bangers. This summer scent is a powdery, woody floral featuring notes of Moss and Tonka Bean in the base, a heart of Orris, Ambrette and Lily-of-the-Valley and a star line-up of top notes: pear, iris and aldehyde.

Heat Eau de Parfum - Akro

Thank goodness we have another perfume with a name that is exactly one word that is barely descriptive! Akro is "bringing the heat" with their newest release. This fragrance is meant to capture the overall sensation of a hot chili pepper and boy, does this sound like it's going to be spicy. Notes of Cardamom, Ginger, Juniper, Lemon, Coriander and Hot Peppers are sure to heat things up. I'm not sure if I want to smell this or taste this, but maybe that was the point!

Barenia Pleine Fleur Eau de Parfum - Hermes

There is no french luxury without Hermes and the brand continues to make that point with their newest release. Keeping the notes simple and elegant with White Lily and Orange Blossom, they add a tiny twist with a Patchouli note with a wholesome addition of Miracle Berry as well. This fragrance is sure to keep the luxurious and rich reputation up to par.

Chloe Le Nectar - Chloe

I don't know her personally, but Chloe sure is a busy gal! Yet another release from the brand set to come out this summer, we have "Le Nectar". Unfortunately, the line-up doesn't sound too unique to me with THE trendy base of Sandalwood, Cashmeran, Tonka Bean and Ambroxan followed by Rose and Patchouli and one of the most popular top note trios of Orange Blossom, Neroli and Bergamot. This sounds to me like a flanker of Paradoxe if I didn't know any better. Although this was clearly made to focus on mass-appeal more than perfumery as an art form, it still sounds like it will smell fantastic!

Vanilla Rice - Ellis Brooklyn

If there is anyone as busy as Chloe if not more, it's Ellis Brooklyn. I almost cannot keep up with these releases at this point. And as usual, this sounds amazing but I almost know for a fact it will unfortunately have the longevity of cotton candy in a rainstorm. Vanilla Rice is milky and sweet with Freesia, Toasted Rice, Jasmine, Coconut Milk, Vanilla, Skin Musk and Tonka Bean. This feels to me like the love child of Milk Orchid and Nearly Noon. Don't get me wrong, I will be trying it. And I more than likely will enjoy all three minutes that I can smell it!

Late Lunch Eau de Parfum - Byredo

Byredo brings yet another basic, yet unique, combo to us. I have been confused by a few of their fragrances in the past, and this one will be added to that column for me. We have a woody and white floral with just a hint of citrus, which is pretty common. But THEN we have a heart of Rosemary Salt, Pink Pepper and Galbanum? Late Lunch is a good name for this. Perhaps this could be paired with Heat from Akro for a complete meal!

La Bomba Eau de Parfum Intense - Carolina Herrera

I've got to be honest, I personally could've done without La Bomba NOT intense, so I am not the first to be excited for this one. The original La Bomba smells way too much like artificial candy for me to enjoy. This version has switched up the DNA almost entirely adding notes like Patchouli, Red Amber, Orchid and Raspberry to the mix which could be a hit or a miss. I am curious to hear what the La Bomba stans have to say about this one!

Brutalist Amber Eau de Parfum - Paco Rabanne

Okay, the name could've been less frightening, but I digress. This one actually sounded right up my alley with Orange, Bitter Almond and Amber but it may have lost me at Metallic Patchouli. Metallic Patchouli? That's a thing? If it is, should it be? Perhaps "brutalist" was less of a frightening adjective and more of a scarily accurate one. Metallic Patchouli sounds like the perfect example of "just because we can, doesn't mean we should".

Elsewhere Eau de Parfum - Amouage

Oh to have been a fly on the wall at the creative process meeting for this fragrance. I cannot trace one single thought process with this set of notes. Coming at us with literally everything but the kitchen sink, here are the scent notes of this fragrance: Apricot, Tangerine, Mango, Grapefruit, Pomegranate, Cardamom, Ginger, Pink Pepper, Cappacino, Black Tea, Davana, Labdanum, Tonka Bean, Cedarwood, Patchouli, Vetiver, Cypriol and Vanilla. I am confusion. You know how when you mix every single color together you eventually get this weird brownish gray that isn't even a color? Well that has to be what happens at this point with a fragrance. Right? RIGHT???

Lil Softie Eau de Parfum - LORE

It could be the overstimulation from the last perfume on the list, but this one sounds simply divine to me. Cereal Milk, Ambrette, Cotton Musk and Rice Milk all come together for a sweet and comforting scent, made unique by Bergamot, Jasmine and Pink Pepper. This is sure to be a hit - mark my words.

Suede Silhouette Eau de Parfum - Ormande Jayne

Perhaps one of the most exciting releases on the list (for me) is this little gem. This brand knows what to do and there is no exception here. Saffron, Bergamot, Suede, Vanilla and Oud. I think this sounds incredible. I will say that I am a bit confused with the timing of the release since this sounds like an almost strictly fall and winter fragrance, but I'll take it either way!

Libre Santal Couture Eau de Parfum - YSL

For the love of all things holy, they really have got to stop with the Libre line. It is starting to feel like a crash out of sorts. AND I BET YOU CAN GUESS THE NOTES. Coming at us with another flanker where almost nothing at all has been changed, we have Lavender, Orange Blossom and now the addition of Sandalwood. But hey, at least they chose "French" Lavender and "Moroccan" Orange Blossom so that must be what makes all the difference I'm sure (not so much). As one of the biggest fangirls of Libre Intense, I can say honestly and completely without any bias: PLEASE MAKE IT STOP. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND WE ARE TIRED.

Flora Gorgeous Orchid Intense - Gucci

Gucci has taken one of their greatest releases and taken it up a notch.......with Coffee??? Need I say more? This doesn't make any sense with this profile but I am really crossing my fingers that there is a method to this madness.

Sparkling Royal, Midnight Espresso and Pina Paraiso - Kilian

This trio of releases all sound new and exciting to add to the cocktail inspired line. Pina Paraiso sounds like the perfect Floconut with Pineapple, Rum, Frangipiani, Tonka Bean and Vanilla. Midnight Espresso doesn't sound like my jam with Coffee, Rum, Chocolate and Hazelnut but for the coffee and/or chocolate lovers out there though, this may be that girl. Sparkling Royal may be the most unique of the bunch with Lemon, Mint, Rose , Blackcurrant, Tonka and Musk. Sparkling Royal seems like it would be the best in my personal opinion but I want to try all!
